Together We Save Lives

Founded in 1958 as a nonprofit, community-based blood center, Community Blood Center (CBC) provides lifesaving blood and blood products to over 70 hospitals in the Greater Kansas City metropolitan area, eastern Kansas, and western Missouri. CBC serves as a vital community lifeline dedicated to helping patients and advancing global public health.

CBC is proud to be part of New York Blood Center Enterprises (NYBCe). At NYBCe, every philanthropic gift fuels our mission to save lives through cutting-edge research, advanced medical services, and a steadfast commitment to public health.

Since 1964, we’ve been at the forefront of blood and stem cell services, providing high-quality blood and stem cell products to patients in need – including trauma victims, cancer patients, newborns, those with chronic conditions, and many more. We support hospitals and patients nationwide through our lifesaving network of divisions.
