Community Blood Center (CBC) recently welcomed Missouri State Senator Patty Lewis and Zack Dunn, Director of Government Affairs for the Missouri Kansas Laborers’ District Council, to donate blood and meet with the CBC team during the ongoing blood emergency.
Their visit highlighted the important role community leaders play in raising awareness about the need for a strong, stable blood supply. By taking time to donate and learn more about the current challenges facing the blood supply, they helped reinforce the lifesaving impact of blood donation and encouraged others to get involved.
