The 2026 Heart of America Association of Blood Banks (HAABB) Spring Meeting, held April 14–15 in Kansas City, was a standout moment for Community Blood Center (CBC), showcasing our organization’s leadership, expertise, and deep commitment to the region we serve. CBC team members contributed across the event, presenting educational sessions, supporting vendor activities, serving on the HAABB Board of Directors, and representing the organization with enthusiasm and pride.
Throughout the meeting, CBC and NYBCe experts delivered presentations that highlighted innovation, collaboration, and problem solving in transfusion medicine. Sessions led by Jack Wilson, David Harsh, Gina Folk, Abigail Logan, Lynsi Rahorst, Megan Dupont, and Dr. Eric Senaldi demonstrated the strength and breadth of our collective expertise. Their case studies, panel discussions, and interactive learning sessions reflected not only technical excellence but also the strong partnerships CBC maintains with hospital transfusion services across the region.
CBC’s vendor presence added to the energy of the meeting, with representatives Tracy Graham, Chris Pape, and Chris Resler engaging attendees on new capabilities, service enhancements, and scientific advancements, including an update from Dr. Aaron Gottschalk on genomics innovation.
Leadership contributions were further underscored by the service of Megan Dupont, David Harsh, and Lynsi Rahorst on the HAABB Board of Directors.
Together, these efforts made CBC’s presence unmistakable. The meeting was a celebration of our team’s dedication, our collaborative spirit, and our ongoing role in driving transfusion medicine forward for the communities we proudly serve.
